2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to close down TASMAC Shop Nos.2564 and 2688 in Vadakuthu Panchayat , Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District.
3. The petitioner was an elected President of Vadakuthu Panchayat. He claims that two TASMAC shops are on the highways and they are in a residential area and are a permanent source of nuisance to the residents of the locality. The petitioner has sent series of representations, the last being on 7.10.2015, requesting the respondents to remove the said two TASMAC shops. However, no action was taken based on the same. Hence, the present writ petition.
4. On hearing the learned counsel for the parties, we direct the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the fourth respondent/ District Collector seeking removal of the said TASMAC shops and on such representation being made, the fourth respondent shall consider the same and do the needful at the earliest.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
