Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The instant petition has been filed challenging the confiscation order passed by the District Magistrate, Pilibhit dated 06.12.2018 under Section 6A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
Against such an order an appeal lies under Section 6C of the Essential Commodities Act and it can be filed by a person aggrieved.
As the petitioner claims himself to be the person aggrieved, he may file an appeal under Section 6C of the said Act.
The petition is therefore dismissed on ground of alternative remedy with liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternative statutory remedy.
