The only prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the Prescribed Authority, before whom P.A. Case No.26 of 2011 is pending at the behest of the petitioners, to decide the same within a specified time frame.
Counsel for the petitioners submitted that their evidence was closed long back, but the defendant-tenant is not adducing evidence to delay the disposal of the proceedings.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the instant petition is disposed of by directing the Prescribed Authority to make serious endeavour to decide the proceedings expeditiously, by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
