JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. 2. The petitioner, a Senior Assistant (Electrical), while working at Electrical Circle, Thanoor East, Malappuram district, represented to the respondent Board to transfer him to his native place at Thiruvananthapuram, where his aged mother and old paternal grandmother are stationed. Taking into account the petitioner's familial constraints, the respondent Board issued Exhibit P2 order through which, apart from certain other employees, the petitioner was directed to be transferred to Electrical Circle, Thiruvananthapuram (Urban). The grievance of the petitioner is that though Exhibit P2 order was issued on W.P.(C)No.26467 OF 2014 :: 2 ::
04.09.2014, to this day he has not been relieved from the present place of his working. Accordingly, he approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.
3. On a perusal of the record and after appreciation of the rival submissions of the respective counsel for the petitioner and the respondent Board, I do not find any valid reason forthcoming from the respondent Board not to have implemented Exhibit P2 at an earlier date. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner has also brought to my notice certain judgments of this Court, rendered on earlier occasions, involving the same respondent Board, on the issue of not relieving the employees even after their transfer.
In the light of of those judgments, and especially given the fact that no sufficient reason has been supplied by the respondents for not implementing Exhibit P2, this Court, in terms of the judgment dated 04.02.2014 in W.P. (C) No. 2816 of 2014, disposes of the present writ petition by directing respondents 1 to 3 to relieve the petitioner on the basis of Exhibit P2 order of transfer at the earliest W.P.(C)No.26467 OF 2014 :: 3 ::
possible time, at any rate, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
