1. Notice was issued to petitioner to engage another counsel vide Court's order dated 24.5.2018. Service is deemed sufficient vide order dated 25.7.2018.
2. Called in revise. None appeared to press this writ petition. Learned Standing Counsel is present for respondents. In the circumstances, I myself have perused the record.
3. By means of present writ petition, petitioner has sought following reliefs:
"(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the District Minority Welfare Officer, District Basti (Respondent no. 2) to decide the case of the petitioner as stated in his representation dated 24.32004 (Annexure No. 11 to the writ petition) and the letter dated 26.3.2004 of the Chief Development Officer, Basti (Annexure No. 12 to the writ petition).
(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the District Minority Welfare Officer, District Basti (Respondent no. 2) to take suitable action for payment of salary to the petitioner as Assistant Teacher Aliya in 'Madrasa Arabia Ahl-E- Sunnal, Bahrul Uloom, Khalilabad, District Basti."
4. I myself have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioner is not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
5. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or the petitioner has lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioner is absent.
6. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
