The petitioner has preferred this writ petition for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the Consolidation Officer, Sadar, Jaunpur to hear and decide Suit No. 352 of 1992.
This Court has asked the learned Standing Counsel to seek instructions from the Consolidation Officer in respect of the grievance raised by the petitioner.
Learned Standing Counsel has received instructions from the Consolidation Officer. It is taken on record.
From a perusal of the instructions it appears that the matter was decided ex-parte in 1994 thereafter a restoration application was filed and the restoration application has been allowed on 23.3.1999. On 16.7.2001 the Consolidation Officer has recalled all his earlier orders and the next date is fixed for 24.4.2018.
The petitioner is a lady and she comes from marginal section of the society hence having regard to the facts of this case, the writ petition is disposed of. The Court hopes and trusts that the Consolidation Officer will decide the matter expeditiously.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No order as to costs.
