Petitioners have approached this Court with the following reliefs: (i) issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the second respondent to see that no vacation classes are conducted in the schools under its territorial jurisdiction following regular syllabus.
(ii) issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the 7th and 8th respondents not to conduct vacation classes during summer vacation in schools under its management.
2. When the matter came up for consideration before this Court on 11.4.2014, the following interim order was passed.
“Admit.
Learned Government Pleader takes notice for respondents 1 to 4, 6 and 10. Sri.Devan Ramachandran, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the fifth respondent. Issue urgent notice returnable within ten days to the other respondents.
There will be an interim order directing respondents 7 and 8 to refrain from conducting vacation classes in their schools during April and May, 2014.”

3. In the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents 7 and 8, it is categorically stated that the averments in the writ petition are not correct. According to respondents 7 and 8, they are not conducting any vacation classes as alleged by the petitioners. Only some special classes have been arranged by them to help needy students to prepare for the examination properly. This is purely voluntary and no compulsion is exerted on the students.
4. Heard learned counsel appearing for the sixth respondent and learned Government Pleader appearing for the concerned respondents. Learned Government Pleader submits that the vacation is over. Therefore, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition.
Recording the above submission, this writ petition is closed.
