Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGA for the respondents-State and perused the record.
This petition for writ is preferred to have expeditious investigation in Case Crime No.418 of 2012 pending investigation at Police Station Cantt, District Varanasi.
The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that though the first information report was lodged in the year 2012, no progress in investigation has yet been made.
Having considered the fact stated above, we deem it appropriate to dispose of the petition for writ by directing the Senior Superintendent of Police, Varanasi to look into the matter personally and to ensure expeditious completion of the investigation and to forward the same for presentation before the competent court.
The writ petition with the above directions stands disposed of.
