JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.C.J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to the 6th respondent in view of the order which is being passed.

Petitioner, which is an Apex Co-operative Society, has come up with this writ petition praying for a mandamus directing respondents 2 to 4 to provide effective and adequate police protection for the smooth conducting of the General Body meeting of the petitioner society which is scheduled to be held on 15.10.2014. Petitioner's case is that as per the judgment of this Court dated 28.08.2014 in W.P.(C) Nos.2990, 2696 and 4434 of 2013, proceedings have to be taken. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that under direction No.ii, a General Body meeting has been convened on 15.10.2014. Petitioner apprehends that there may be law and order situation at the instance of certain persons.

3. Learned Government Pleader has fairly submitted that respondents 3 and 4 shall take appropriate steps to maintain the law and order situation on the venue of the meeting on 15.10.2014.
In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the Writ Petition directing respondents 3 and 4 to take appropriate steps for maintaining law and order on the date of General Body Meeting, i.e. 15.10.2014.
