JUDGMENT / ORDER

Challenging Ext.P1 order of assessment, the petitioner has filed Exts.P2 & P2(a) appeals accompanied by Exts.P3 & P3(a) stay petitions before the 2nd respondent. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that, during the pendancy of Exts.P2 & P2(a) appeals and Exts.P3 & P3(a) stay petitions, by virtue of Ext.P4 notice issued by the 4th respondent the banker of the petitioner is directed to make payment of the alleged service tax, interest and penalty. It was in such circumstances, the petitioner has approached this Court in this Writ Petition. 2. I have heard the arguments of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Central Excise.
Since Exts.P2 & P2(a) appeals and Exts.P3 & P3(a) stay petitions are pending consideration before the 2nd W.P.(C).No.35568 of 2014 2 respondent, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Exts.P3 & P3(a) stay petitions as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. It is made clear that, till such time, coercive steps pursuant to Ext.P4 notice shall be kept in abeyance.
