THESE WRIT PETITIONS COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
ORDER Mr.R.B.Deshpande, learned counsel for the petitioner.
Mr.B.Balakrishna, learned Additional Government Advocate for the respondent.
2. The petitions are admitted for hearing. With consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the same are heard finally.
3. In these petitions, the petitioner inter alia seeks a direction to the respondents to furnish the petitioner an information whether the name of the petitioner is included in the rowdy list.
4. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the name of the petitioner was included in the rowdy sheet for the period from January 2016 till December 2016. However, the aforesaid period has come to an end by efflux of time. It is also submitted that the petitioner had submitted a communication as per Annexure-D to the competent authority to address the petitioner as to whether his name continues in the rowdy sheet. However, no response has been given to the aforesaid communication.
5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, learned Additional Government Advocate submits that the information with regard to the continuance of the name in the rowdy list will be provided within a stipulated time limit to the petitioner.
6. In view of the aforesaid submissions and in the facts of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to furnish the information to the petitioner in writing within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order passed today, whether or not the name of the petitioner continues in the rowdy list.
