JUDGMENT / ORDER

Non satisfaction of the amount due to the petitioner in respect of the completion of work contract is the grievance projected in this writ petition.
2. The petitioner is stated as a contractor engaged in conducting C-class construction works. On the basis of work order given by the respondent Municipality, the petitioner executed Ext.P1 work on 4.03.2013 and the work was completed on 18.06.2013, pursuant to which Ext.P2 completion report was issued on 25.02.2014. Based on the satisfactory completion of work, Ext.P3 proceedings were issued on 25.02.2014 by the second respondent addressing the 1st respondent District Collector that, the work has been completed satisfactorily and that further steps could be pursued for payment of the amount due under the concerned bill. After considering the same, the first respondent gave sanction as per Ext.P4 dated 11.03.2014 ordering that, the amount due to the petitioner could be disbursed. Nothing has transpired in the positive for causing disbursement, even after submitting representation vide Ext.P5.

This made the petitioner to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the Municipality as well.
4. In view of the materials borne out by the records, there cannot be any dispute with regard to the factual position as to the eligibility of the petitioner. The only step which is required to be completed is with regard to the disbursement of the due amount based on Exts. P1 to P4. In the said circumstance, the respondents are directed to complete the procedural formalities in relation to Exts. P1 to P4 and to finalize the proceedings causing disbursement of the due amount to the petitioner,which shall be done at the earliest, at any rate, within 'two months' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the concerned respondent for further steps. The writ petition is disposed of.
