Madras High Court|28 June, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher on 18.4.2005. Her services were regularised on 1.6.2006 and her probation was also declared with effect from 31.5.2008. When she is waiting for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmaster (Telugu medium) school, the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Kelamangalam prepared a panel for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmaster (Telugu) as on 1.1.2017 for minority primary schools. So far as inclusion of one Mrs.V.Jayamma is concerned, it is stated that the petitioner has no grievance. So far as inclusion of the fifth respondent is concerned, she has given a representation on 8.6.2017 stating that the fifth respondent is not eligible and qualified for the post of Elementary School Headmaster (Telugu). Therefore, till the disposal of the pending representation dated 8.6.2017, a direction may be issued not to promote the fifth respondent.
2. But this Court, considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, without going to the merits of the case, hereby directs the second respondent to consider the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, W.M.P.No.17411 of 2017 is closed. No costs.
