JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the electricity pole in the land, in S.No.16/9A, Naraiyoorani village, Ramnad Taluk and District, belonging to the petitioner.
2. Mr.M.Suresh Kumar, the learned Standing Counsel for the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and with the consent of both parties, the writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. Though, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had sought for a larger relief, he would submit that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.09.2009, on merits and in accordance with law, within the specified period fixed by this Court.
4. Mr.M.Suresh Kumar, the learned Standing Counsel for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 did not have any objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. In view of the submssions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.09.2009, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
