Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to calling for the records in connection with the order of Detention passed by the second respondent dated 17.06.2017 in Memo No.357/BCDFGISSSV/2017 against the petitioner husband Ramu @ Ramamurthy, male, aged 30 years, S/o.Krishnan, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal II, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.S.Senthilvel For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in BCDFGISSSV No.357/2017 dated 17.06.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, Ramu @ Ramamurthy, aged 30 years, S/o.Krishnan, No.121, Raji Pillai Thottam, T.Nagar, Chennai- 600 017 and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.4020 dated 23.08.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed.
