JUDGMENT / ORDER

This is a petition filed under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure seeking to have O.P.No.378/2014 pending before the Family Court, Kozhikode transferred to Family Court, Malappuram. 2. After the marital relationship between the petitioner and the respondent became bitter and unpleasant, both of them instituted proceedings against each other. The petitioner instituted M.C.No.119/2014 before the Family Court, Malappuram seeking maintenance and the respondent in turn instituted O.P.No.378/2014 before the Family Court, Kozhikode for divorce.
3. The petitioner points out that she is a resident of Malappuram and she finds it extremely difficult to go over to Kozhikode to attend the case. She also points out that she has nobody to accompany her to go to Kozhikode and she has financial difficulties. She therefore prays that the matter pending T.P.(C) No.603/2014 2 before the Family Court, Kozhikode may be transferred to Family Court, Malappuram.
4. Though the respondent was served with notice, there is no appearance for him.
5. Since there is no objection on the part of the respondent and also since it is found that the request is a reasonable one, it is felt that the relief can be granted to the petitioner.
In the result, this petition is allowed and O.P.No.378/2014 pending before the Family Court, Kozhikode shall stand transferred to Family Court, Malappuram.
