Petitioner has applied for appointment to the post of Sub- Inspector in U.P. Police. She was called upon to appear for physical efficiency test on 8th July, 2018, but the petitioner could not appear, as she was suffering from Typhoid. Petitioner has approached the Recruitment Board for grant of a fresh opportunity to appear for the purpose. It is also stated that petitioner had in fact informed the authorities that she was suffering from 103°C fever, and therefore, she was not in a position to run. Various medical certificates are also annexed.
Learned Standing Counsel, on the other hand, points out that petitioner has in fact participated in the physical efficiency test and has failed to qualify.
In case petitioner was suffering from fever, she could have moved an appropriate application and ought not to have participated in the test. Once she has appeared and has not been successful in the test, no direction can be issued for grant of a fresh opportunity for the purpose.
Writ petition, accordingly, is dismissed.
