This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to investigate the case registered in Crime No.311 of 2016, pending on his file and file final report within a stipulated time frame.

When this Criminal Original Petition wad taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor took notice for the respondent and submitted that the respondent has closed the case registered against the petitioner in Crime No.311 of 2016 and a referred charge sheet was also made ready in R.C.S.No.28 of 2016. He further submitted that the petitioner refused to receive the said charge sheet and hence he would hand over a copy of the same to the counsel for the petitioner and accordingly, he has handed over a copy of the referred charge sheet to the learned counsel for the petitioner today before this Court.
3. In view of the above submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, no further orders are necessary to be passed in this Criminal Original Petition and accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
