JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Declaration, to declare the notification issued by the first respondent, insofar announcing the eighth ward of Kayathar Town Panchayat, Tuticorin District, as Schedule Caste Constituency as unconstitutional and further directing the respondents to declare the eighth ward of Kayathar Town Panchayat, Tuticorin District as General Turn Constituency in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Local Body Election.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it has been reported by the learned counsel for the petitioner that subsequent to the filing of this petition, an order came to be passed by the respondents in this subject matter and the same is also challenged before this Court.
4. Such being the case, no further order is required in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
