Karthiga Devi vs The Secretary

Madras High Court|13 September, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present writ petition is filed seeking for declaration to declare clause 54(b) of the prospectus issued by the 1st respondent for the year 2008-2009 for admission to post graduate / Diploma / MDS / 5 years M.Ch. courses insofar as it relates to the reservation of certain courses exclusively for service candidates as illegal, void, ultra virus and unconstitutional.
2. While entertaining the writ petition or even thereafter, this Court, has not granted any interim order. Now, the matter is listed before this Court for final disposal.
3. Considering the fact, that the prayer sought for in this writ petition is in respect of the academic year 2008-2009 and further considering the fact that the petitioner was not protected with any interim order, I do not think that anything survives in this writ petition to be adjudicated upon further on merits. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
