The petitioner approached the District Collector challenging the fair value fixed in respect of the property situated in Sy.Nos.338/6 and 338/7 of Angamaly Village. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the registering authority to register the document presented by the petitioner without waiting for the outcome on Ext.P2. It is submitted that the District Collector has passed an order fixing the fair value on 24.10.2014. Though in appeal, the fair value has been reduced, this has to be formally notified to have the benefit to the petitioner. The petitioner submits that the document is to be registered immediately.

Considering the above fact, without waiting for a formal notification of the reduction of the fair value, based on the order passed by the District Collector in proceedings A2 - 41863/14 dated 24.10.2014, the registering authority shall register the document based on the value fixed in the above order. The petitioner shall produce the order of the District Collector referred above along with a copy of this judgment for compliance.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
