THIS PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:
ORDER R.DEVDAS J., (ORAL):
Learned Counsels have filed a joint memo stating that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties herein.
2. In terms of the settlement, the impugned order is modified directing the petitioner-Corporation to pay the third respondent a sum of Rs.91,000/- with interest at 6% p.a. from 29.06.2009 to 07.09.2011 in full and final settlement of the claim of the third respondent towards gratuity.
3. The respondent-Controlling Authority is hereby directed to release the amount in deposit made before the authority by the petitioner-Corporation to the third respondent. The petitioner-Corporation has undertaken to deposit the remaining amount within four weeks from today.
4. In terms of the above, the petition is disposed of.
