ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus to declare the action of respondents 1 and 2 in stopping power supply to service connection No.1696 pertaining to house bearing Door No.2-85, Old S.B.I. Street, 2nd Ward of Akivedu Village and Mandal, West Godavari District, as illegal and arbitrary.
At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner has not disputed that under Section 42(5) and (6) of the Electricity Act, 2003, his client has effective alternative remedies.
In view of the availability of these remedies, I am not inclined to adjudicate this writ petition on merits.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, without adjudicating on the merits of the case, with liberty to the petitioner to avail the above-mentioned remedies.
As a sequel to the dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.26063 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
