JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr. Mr.R.A.S. Senthil Vel, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the 1st respondent and Mr.K.Natarajan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant death benefits of her deceased husband by considering her representation dated 25.10.2017, within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2017, the respondents have not passed any order so far.
4. The respective learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
