By impugned notice dated 20.9.2021 issued by respondent no.3, the petitioners have been called upon to pay a sum of Rs.6,58,950/- as arrears of land revenue within fifteen days or submit their explanation as to why proceedings under the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 be not initiated against them.
The petitioners have not submitted any reply to the impugned notice, but have rushed to this Court.
In such circumstances, we refuse to examine the explanation being offered by the petitioners before this Court for not complying with the impugned notice. We leave it open to the petitioners to submit their explanation before the third respondent. In the event, any explanation is furnished within two weeks from today, the third respondent shall examine the same and pass a speaking order.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
