WRIT PETITION No.22427 of 2014 ORDER: (Per the Hon’ble The Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) This writ petition has been filed questioning the date of retirement on the ground that his date of birth was not correctly recorded in the service register. He claims that he retired from service in March, 2014 and he applied for rectification of date of birth in service record in November, 2013, admittedly at the fag end of his service. When he joined the service, he relied on school certificate. Now he wants to produce a document appears to be birth certificate purported to have been issued by municipal authority. It is too late, even if it is assumed that same is genuine, to accept this document as everything is over. The Supreme Court time and again says that any attempt to make correction of date of birth at the fag end of service has to be discouraged.
We, therefore, dismiss this writ petition. There will be no order as to costs.
Consequently, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed.
