Petitioner is accused in Crime No.59 of 2014 of the Chengannur Excise Range Office for the offences punishable under Sections 8(1) and (2) of the Kerala Abkari Act for alleged possession of IMFL for sale on 12.05.2014, is in custody since then and seeks bail.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the applications. It is submitted that 800 ml of IMFL was seized from the possession of the petitioner on the relevant day and time. Petitioner is involved in seven other cases of similar nature.
3. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner also.
4. Having regard to the relevant circumstances and antecedents of the petitioner, request for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.
Application is dismissed.
