The sole relief claimed in the instant petition is for issuing a direction to the Court of Small Causes, to decide SCC Suit No. 68/2012, within a stipulated time.
The suit in question has been filed by the petitioners for recovery of arrears of rent and for eviction. The suit is being contested by the defendants. A perusal of the order sheet reveals that although the suit is pending since a long time, but for one reason or the other, the matter is being adjourned.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the petition is disposed of by directing the Court below to make all endeavour to decide the suit expeditiously, without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
