Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Rajesh Kumar Yadav, appearing for Allahabad Nagar Nigam. The petitioner was working as safai karmchari and retired from Nagar Nigam, Allahabad on 31.5.2018.
The grievance is with regard to non-payment of retiral dues.
Learned counsel for the respondents has informed this Court that the Allahabad Nagar Nigam was facing a financial crisis and now money has been released and payment shall be made to the petitioner. The petitioner has already made a representation to the Nagar Ayukt i.e. the respondent no. 2 which is pending, this writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to the Nagar Ayukt to take final decision in the matter.
Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to look into the grievance of the petitioner with regard to non payment of retiral dues and to take a final decision in the matter on the pending representation of the petitioner, by a reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible say within a period of six weeks.
In case some amount is found due to be paid by the Nagar Nigam to the petitioner, the same shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
