Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent dated 15.05.2017 in D.O.No.19/2017-C2 against the petitioner's husband Murugan, aged 28 years, S/o.Paruvatham, who is confined at Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.D.Balaji For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in D.O.No.19/2017-C2 dated 15.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, Murugan, aged 28 years, S/o.Paruvatham, residing at No.62, Pillaiyar Koil Street, Vaividanthangal Village and Colony, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District and quash the same.
2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.2956 dated 22.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the afore said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
