The petitioner's request for claim of patta for the lands comprised in Sy.No.80/3, measuring an extent of 5 cents situated at 1/97 Rajakambeeram, Y. Othakadai, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District was rejected by an order dated 22.05.2010. Aggrieved against the same, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
2.Admittedly, the petitioner does not have any title over the subject property and she is an encroacher. However, in view of her possession over the subject-lands for a considerable period, an application seeking for patta has been made.The lands, in which the petitioner is in possession are classified as 'Kalam Poromboke'.
3.It is also brought to my notice that pursuant to the filing of the writ petition,on 04.06.2010, the petitioner has been evicted from the said lands and the lands have already been handed over to the Registration Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Electricity Board.
4.In view of the same, the petitioner's request may not be feasible for consideration and no further adjudication is required in the present writ petition. If the petitioner is still aggrieved against the action taken by the respondents, it is open to her to challenge the same in the manner known to Law.
5.With the above observation, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
