By means of this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed that the respondent no.2 be directed to decide the application of the petitioner dated 6.1.2018 for arms license expeditiously as early as possible which is pending before him.
This writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the respondent no.2 shall take all endeavour to decide the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of one year in accordance with law after considering the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 and the Arms Rules, 2016.
