The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's application for granting a firearm licence is pending since 5.10.2019. A prayer has, therefore, been made that the said application be directed to be decided expeditiously.
Learned Standing Counsel states that all endeavour shall be made to decide the aforesaid application.
It is, therefore, directed that the application dated 5.10.2019 filed by the petitioner for grant of a firearm licence be decided within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment. The copy of this order shall be duly certified by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
