Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.
Learned standing counsel has submitted that the petitioner has alternative remedy of filing an appeal against the impugned order dated 25.4.2018 and the writ petition is not maintainable.
Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Authorised Officer, State Bank of Travancore and Ors. Vs. Mathew K.C.", MANU/SC/0054/2018, has held that if an effective alternative remedy is available, the writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution is not maintainable.
In view of the above, we are not inclined to entertain the writ petition at this stage.
The writ petition is thus dismissed as not maintainable. No costs.
