1. Heard Mr. P.C. Chaudhary, learned advocate for the petitioner.
2. The petitioner has taken out present petition seeking below mentioned relief:-
"6(A) Your Lordships may be pleased to issue writ of certiorari or writ of mandamus or appropriate order or direction, and be pleased to held that the act on the part of respondent in not deciding the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment till date is illegal, improper, arbitrary and contrary to the article 14 and 16 of Constitution of India and be further pleased to direct the respondent to forthwith consider the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment as early as possible and be kind enough to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate appointment basis.

From the details mentioned in the petition it appears that the petitioner has made application requesting the respondent - competent authority to make appointment on compassionate ground, however the said application is either not taken into consideration or any decision thereon is not taken or even if any decision is taken the same is not conveyed to the petitioner.
4. Under the circumstances, having regard to the details mentioned by the petitioner in the petition and submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioner, it appears appropriate to dispose of this petition at this stage with a direction to respondent - competent authority to take into consideration the application made by the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with the relevant and applicable policy, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and pass appropriate order and communicate the same to the petitioner.
With the aforesaid direction the petition stands disposed of accordingly.
