The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the trial court to decide Original Suit No. 512 of 2016 within a stipulated period.
Counsel for the petitioners points out that certain issues have already been decided by the trial court as preliminary issues on 04.10.2017 and the case is now posted for recording of evidence of the plaintiff and his witnesses and for disposal of certain miscellaneous applications.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to the trial court to make serious endeavour to decide the suit expeditiously, by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
