Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
The request of the petitioner to provide him with a gunner for security has been rejected by the District Level Committee constituted in accordance with the Government Order dated 1.1.2016. The petitioner has assailed the said order by means of this writ petition. The petitioner, if aggrieved by it, may appeal to the Commissioner Level Committee in accordance with the aforesaid Government Order.
In view of the remedy so available to the petitioner and in that every individual cannot be provided with special security more particularly when he himself is responsible for creating a situation of threat to his life, it is not possible to exercise any discretion in favour of the petitioner.
The writ petition is dismissed with the aforesaid observation.
