The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ernakulam, has filed a statement countersigned by the Special Government Pleader to Additional Advocate General stating, inter alia, in paragraph 2 thereof that the police has no intention to harass or ill-treat the petitioner and that the police will only conduct legitimate investigation in accordance with the procedure established by law. This statement is recorded. Leaving open all other issues since there appears to be other proceedings in different jurisdictions, the writ petition is closed.
