JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WP No. 30545 of 2014 Date of Judgment: 17.12.2014 Between:
M/s. Kakatiya Granites Pvt. Limited And State of Andhra Pradesh and another …Petitioner ..Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WP No. 30545 of 2014 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
According to the petitioner, she applied for a quarry lease for an extent of two hectors in Sy.No. 23 of Girijepalli village Santhamaguluru Mandal, Prakasam district. The second respondent issued a notice dated 8.2.2010 to the petitioner stating that the Tahsildar concerned was not inclined to issue no-objection certificate. However, the petitioner informed the second respondent that no-objection certificate was already granted for the entire Sy.No.23 in favour of third party and requested him to grant the quarry lease. But the second respondent passed an order dated 1.7.2010 rejecting the application of the petitioner for quarry lease. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner filed a revision under Rule 35 of the A.P. Mines Mineral Concession Rules, 1966 before the first respondent on 6.8.2010. Alleging inaction of the first respondent in disposing of the revision, the present writ petition is filed.
Learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner’s revision is still pending with the first respondent.
Since the revision was filed by the petitioner as early as on 6.8.2010 and as it has been pending with the first respondent for more than four years, it is appropriate to direct the first respondent to hear and dispose of the said revision expeditiously after notice to the petitioner, preferably within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
