Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned State Attorney. No notice is being issued to respondents 1 and 2 in view of the judgment being passed today.
2. By this writ petition, the petitioner, alleging police harassment, has come before this Court for a direction to the 2nd respondent not to remove the 'Kanikka Vanchy' (offering box) of the petitioner temple situated in the Valuthamanal junction. Allegations made in the writ petition is that the petitioner, which is the trust, has put an offering box in the puramboke land belonging to the 3rd respondent, Panchayath. It is submitted that, on a complaint of private persons, police has removed the box.
On the aforesaid ground, allegations have been made about police harassment.
3. It is not disputed that the offering box was put on a puramboke land belonging to the 3rd respondent. On a complaint of private persons, the police had asked the petitioner to remove the offering box from puramboke land and place it at some premises belonging to the trust.
We do not see any case of police harassment in the said action of the police asking the petitioner to remove the unauthorised offering box. With the above observation, this writ petition is closed.
