Petitioner claims to be the senior most L.T. Grade Teacher, who is seeking consideration of his claim for promotion to the post of Lecturer in Political Science. It is stated that Committee of Management has already passed a resolution in his favour but the Regional Promotion Committee has not examined such claim of the petitioner so far.
Perusal of the records would go to show that the Joint Director of Education has also taken cognisance of the petitioner's grievance in that regard and a direction was issued to forward such claim.
In the facts and circumstances, noticed above, it would be appropriate to dispose of this petition requiring the District Inspector of Schools, Sonbhadra to forward the claim of the petitioner alongwith that of other eligible persons in terms of the Rule 14 of the U.P. Secondary Education Services Selection Board Rules, 1998 and the Regional Promotion Committee constituted under Section 12 of the U.P. Secondary Education Services Selection Board Act, 1982, shall then proceed to pass an appropriate order in respect of the claim for promotion to the post of Lecturer in Political Science. The required considerations would be made within a period of four months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
