Heard Ms. Saima Saher, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner is having a motor vehicle Vikram bearing registration No. UP-70-DT-7815. The permit of the said vehicle is expiring on 31.08.2019.
The grievance of the petitioner is that his aforesaid permit is not being renewed.
The petitioner in this regard has submitted an application dated 23.07.2019 to the respondent No.2 but in vain.
We do not find from the record that the petitioner has moved any application in the prescribed form and has deposited any fee for the renewal of the permit.
Be as it may, as the counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not being supplied with any application form nor the fee is being accepted and it is being told that the petitioner has to first submit an application which he has already submitted but even then neither the application form is being supplied nor the fee is being accepted.
In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, we dispose off the writ petition with the direction to the respondent No.2 to consider the request of the petitioner as per the application dated 23.07.2019 in accordance with law most expeditiously and if necessary provide the petitioner with the application form for the renewal of the permit and to accept the fee thereof and thereafter proceed to deal with such application for the renewal of permit in accordance with law, most expeditiously.
