The petitioners along with their mother approached the District Court, Manjeri in 1995 seeking enhancement of compensation for the trees cut and removed and also for diminution in land value in connection with the drawing of electric line through the property.
2. Less said the better about the progress of the case. The grievance of the petitioner seems to be that inspite of lapse of 19 years still they find themselves in the same place as they were in 1995. They therefore pray for an expeditious disposal of their case.
3. It is not necessary to dwell into the facts in detail for the simple reason that the only prayer is for a direction for early disposal of the petition filed by the petitioners before the District Court, Manjeri.
O.P.(C).2618/2014. 2 In the result, this Original Petition is disposed of directing the District Court, Manjeri to take up O.P.(Electricity) 225 of 1995 as early as possible and dispose it of as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
