The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that pendency of the contempt petition, the petitioner's licence was cancelled, vide order dated 17.08.2016 and this Court has granted interim orders on M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.
jvm 01.09.2016, suspending the operation of the order dated 17.08.2016 till 06.10.2016 and thereafter, the District Registrar, Nagapattinam, vide proceedings dated 26.12.2016 in Na.Ka.No.18/A1/2015 has cancelled the earlier order dated 17.08.2016 and as a consequence, the order of cancellation of licence passed against the petitioner has been revoked. The proceedings/order of the District Registrar, Nagapattinam dated 26.12.2016 in Na.Ka.No.18/A1/2015 is taken on file and recorded.
2. In the light of the above, this Contempt Petition is closed. Consequently, connected sub-application is closed.
