JUDGMENT / ORDER

ORDER:
This contempt case is filed alleging willful disobedience of order dated 24.09.2013 in W.P.No.24718 of 2013.
The respondent filed a counter-affidavit, wherein he has stated that the order of this Court has been complied with, albeit belatedly, by issuing proceedings in Rc.A.244/2013 dated 09.07.2014.
As regards the delay in compliance, the respondent has stated that from the time of passing of the order dated 24.09.2013 in the writ petition, he was engaged in the conduct of elections relating to Gram Panchayats, Mandal Parishads and Zilla Parishads besides General Elections and that, therefore, he could not pass the order within the time stipulated by this Court.
Mrs. N(P). Anjana Devi, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that her client may be permitted to avail a legal remedy for questioning the above-mentioned proceedings issued by the respondent.
Inasmuch as the respondent has passed an order in compliance with the direction issued by this Court and having regard to the explanation given by the respondent for the delay in complying with the order of this Court, the contempt case is dismissed, with liberty to the petitioner in terms of the prayer made.
As a sequel to dismissal of the contempt case, Application No.749 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
