JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider his appeal dated 22.08.2017 and thereby direct the 1st respondent to cancel the patta in Patta No.366 dated 06.04.2012 issued by the 2nd respondent in the name of respondent 3 and 4 herein within a tiem frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that challenging the issuance of patta by the 2nd respondent in favour of the respondents 3 and 4, the petitioner has filed an appeal under section 12 of the Patta Pass Book Act before the 1st respondent on 22.08.2017. However, the 1st respondent has not passed any order so far.

Mr.S.V.Doraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 22.08.2017 and dispose of the same, after giving notice to all the interested parties, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 22.08.2017 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
