For Petitioners : Mr.R.Saravanakumar For Respondent : Mr.K.Vijayaragavan ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records relating to the criminal proceedings in C.C.No.116 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sankari.
2. Today, the petitioners 1 and 2 and the respondent/ complainant along with their respective learned counsel on record are present. The identities of the parties have been verified. They have submitted that the dispute between them has been amicably settled vide a deed of Memorandum of Understanding dated 03.03.2015, the copy of which is enclosed at page 24 of the typed set of papers filed along with this petition. They have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 27.03.2017 signed by the parties to that effect. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, respondent / complainant, about the factum of compromise and the terms of the compromise, she admitted the same. She also expressed no objection in quashing the criminal proceedings in CC No.116 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sankari against the petitioners herein.
3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the criminal proceedings in CC No.116 of 2014, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sankari is quashed. The Joint Compromise Memo dated 27.03.2017 signed by the parties is taken on record. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
