JUDGMENT / ORDER

When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, an affidavit has been filed by the second respondent in which she has stated that a compromise has been arrived at between her and her husband, the first petitioner herein, and hence she has no objection to quash the impugned proceedings.
2. Both the parties are present. Their identities have been verified and they accepted the contents in the affidavit as true and genuine.
3. Recording the affidavit filed as stated supra, the proceedings in C.C.No.221 of 2016 on the file of the District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Sriperumbudur is quashed, and the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
