THE HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE N.KIRUBAKARAN W.P.No.39151 of 2005 W.P.M.P.No.41947 of 2005 K.Ravishankar representing his minor son R.Ananthakrishnan ...Petitioner Vs The Director of Examinations, Department of Government Examinations, Chennai – 600 006. ...Respondent Prayer: This petition was filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to conduct the re-totalling of marks in the subject 'Science' in the presence of the petitioner for the examinations held in June-July 2005 in Matriculating Stream with Registration No.610921.

2. The petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondent to conduct re-totalling of marks in the subject 'Science' in the presence of the petitioner for the examinations held in June-July 2005 in Matriculating Stream with Registration No.610921.
3. Mr.V.Anandhamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that since twelve years have passed, the prayer in the Writ Petition itself has become infructuous.
4. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed as nothing survives. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
