Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.16 of 2016 within the stipulated period of time prescribed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint with the third respondent police as against one Arumainathan and others and the same was registered in Crime No.16 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 25.5.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the third respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.16 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
